The 2005 Cabernets is 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot of which 33% was aged for two years in new fine grain French Oak, the balance in older barrels. It is highly perfumed, with violets and red fruits; more forward than the Yarra Yarra with a little less intensity. This wine should not be underestimated, as it is a serious and complex wine.

Syrah Viognier 2006 with 5% Viognier is spicy and plummy with a balanced, elegant palate and moderate 13.5% alcohol. It is an excellent follow up to the highly acclaimed 2005 Syrah which was selected in The Top 20 Wines of the Year in the December 2007 Australian Financial Review magazine. It is called Syrah, because itÕs French and not Australian Shiraz! The Yarra Yarra site creates flavours like the Northern Rh™ne, home of the worldÕs greatest Syrah.

A unique style, not typically Australian or what you would expect of a Sauvignon Blanc SŽmillon (65%/35%) blend. The 2005 Sauvignon Blanc SŽmillon as usual, was naturally yeast fermented and aged in French oak barriques, of which 30% were new. It has flavours of citrus and pear with wonderful mouth feel and length plus fine natural acidity.The palate is tight with lovely balancing acidity and a long, complex finish. Will age gracefully and improve for some years.
